FAQs
Where do you train?
We train out of Streatham Ice and Leisure Centre, 390 Streatham High Rd, Streatham, London SW16 6HX.
How do I get to the rink?
The rink is a 5 minute walk from Streatham Rail Station, and a 15 minute walk from Streatham Common Rail Station. There are numerous bus stops close to the rink, and there is also on-site parking.
When do you train?
Our Elite and Division 2 teams train Mondays 21:00 - 22:30; this session is invite only.
For the development squad our beginner-friendly training sessions are on Fridays 19:00 - 20:15. We try to get as many people involved as possible, however there is currently a waiting list for the development squad in operation. Please do get in touch and we will happily discuss getting you on the ice!
If you are unsure which session would work best for you, please do get in contact with us to talk it through, we would love to hear from you!
How much does training cost?
Our training costs vary by team/session - please get in touch to find out more!
We operate monthly (or annual) subs for regularly attending players. There is also a league-set annual insurance fee.
Do I have to have my own kit?
We have several sets of player kit that we are happy to lend out! However, if you are planning on playing hockey long term we do recommend buying your own kit, most importantly your own skates and helmet. Please do get in contact with us about buying kit as we may have some secondhand pieces of kit available to purchase from the club.
How good does my skating need to be in order to train with you?
In order to get the most out of our trainings, we recommend that you need you to be able to start, turn and stop to some degree, our advice would be that you can skate to around Skate UK level 4/5. Again, please do get in touch and we will be able to offer more information.
